EGG: The life cycle of a frog begins when a frog lays hundreds of jelly-like eggs in the water. This is called frogspawn. Frogs like to lay their eggs in calm waters so that the eggs will not be shaken or bothered by waves. It will take about 6 to 21 days for the eggs to hatch!
TADPOLE: The eggs hatch into tadpoles. Tadpoles have a big head and a small tail. They are very much like fish at this stage. They use the tails to swim and the gills to breathe underwater.
FROGLET: After a few weeks, the tadpole turns into a frog. Its body shrinks and it grows arms and legs! The back legs will grow first and then front legs. At this stage, the froglet can come out of the water and breath with its lungs.
ADULT: Last, the froglet's tail will shrink and disappear and its back legs will grow longer. The froglet has turned into a frog!
